“I have finish the job you had asked for, sir” Jiro said to mea he hands me a yellow folder.
I open the folder, and i see her. She was still beautiful, no she had gotten more beautiful.
I looked under her picture and it had information.
Her address and her business address.
That was all I need to know.
I get up and take my coat and my phone.
“Let's go Jiro take me too this address” i tell Jiro he grabs the paper and looks at it.
“Yes sir” Jiro says and he follows me out.
We walk down into the parking lot.
I wait here until Jiro comes back with the car. When my phone rang.
I took it out of my pocket and looked at the collar id, it was Keiko.
“What?” i answer her.
“What do you mean what? You left me be yesterday. I had to lied to my parents.” she said.
“Well i reschedule the dinner for tonight.” she said. “So you better have nothing plan.”
“Keiko. I told you many times to tell me a week in advance” i tell her at the same moment. Jio parks the car right in front of me.
He runs to open the door. I get in and wait for Jiro to get in when he does he starts to drive away.
“I already told you i can't make something up. Tell them i had a surgery i had to attend. They'll understand.”
“Why do you do this to me? I'll i ever asked you for was to make some time for me and my parents. Is it that hard” she said her voice cracking at the end. I let a long breath out.
“And all I've ever asked for, was for you to tell me in advance.” i tell her and hang up.
“We're here sir.” jiro said i notice that the car was parked already. I look out the window and notice a small cafe in the corner.
It was a very small modern cafe. I read the name, FUJIKAWA and it stung.
Knowing that even still she didn't forget him, even if he was dead.
I lower the car window down and peek inside. I look around the cafe and stop when i see her. She was behind the bar doing something.
In that moment i decided that i was going to get off and just hug her. I got of the car and started to slowly walk towards the cafe.
Before i could reach the door, someone else did.
He walked toward the counter.
I waited for him to stop but he just continued.
He walked behind the counter and hugged her, and she hugged him back.
I walked back into the car. I was stupid to think that i she was still in love with him even after all these years.
But i was even more stupider to think that i probably had a chance after all this years.
