I am currently working on a Resident Evil parody manga.
I'm looking forward to read it! ^^ By the way... I'm wondering how can you draw this beautiful on paper. I am afraid of working on paper because if I mess up something during the inking, there is no way to fix it. Once it happened to me. I wanted to throw the desk out of the window. XD It's more safe to me to work digitally.
What is careful about drawing manga on paper is to carefully draw drafts as much as possible.
Because I do not understand which lines are truly drawn if I draw a lot of lines when drawing a picture.
I make a mistake when I draw it on paper, but I fill it with a pen for correction white.
If there is no correction pen, I will use poster color white.
Finally, after displaying the cartoon in the scanner to my computer, portion protruding in the eraser of the paint software will be erased.
When trying to draw a picture with software such as GIMP, I try to draw a picture by a traditional method because I can not draw as delicately as I thought.
Unfortunately I can't afford the many drawing tools. ( my bad luck, my scanner doesn't work since I have Windows 7 ) In Hungary the thinnest pen is very expensive. I use regular stabilo 0,4 pen, because this is cheap. I love using it though but it is not good for the small panels. But you are right about it is harder to draw in digitally. I draw different on paper. The only one is easier in digitally is the fixing. For example if the head is too big compared to the body, I can just select it, and make it smaller. :)
It is convenient if you can use a scanner.
However, it can not be helped if compatibility with PC is bad.(-_-;)
Since you are drawing a picture skillfully with the digital method, please continue to draw nice works in the future.(^-^)
Digital illustration software with good performance is sold in Japan, but it is expensive.
I am also concerned about compatibility with a pen type mouse and want to draw fine lines cleanly, so if I can do it I would like to purchase in the future.
